Day 1,Addis Ababa

City tours of Addis Ababa the Ethnographic Museum, a great introduction to Ethiopian culture and history. Tour the Mercato, one of Africa's largest outdoor markets, and Trinity Cathedral, resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie. Day 2,Addis Ababa - Bahar Dar

In the morning Fly to Bahar Dar. Visit the marketplace in Bahar Dar. Take a boat tour on Lake Tana. There are 37 islands on Lake Tana and 32 of them have churches and monasteries of considerable historical and cultural interest. We visit the monastery church of Ura Kidane Mihiret, which is the best known of the monasteries and has an important collection of religious icons from the 16th to 18th centuries A.D. Day 3, Bahar Dar - Gondar

Drive through the countryside to Gondar. Tour the Royal Enclosure, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring five castles built by a succession of Ethiopian kings beginning in the early 17th century. Having survived several wars, including air raids during World War 2, the castles are a testament to the resilience of this once mighty empire. Visit the church of Debre Birhan Selassie, famous for its religious art and especially its iconic ceiling depicting angels. Day 4,Simien Mountain Excursion

Drive to Sankabar the gateway to the Simien Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy an easy hike (2 - 3 hours) to take in the spectacular scenery and spot wildlife such as the endemic Gelada Baboons. Return to Gondar by evening. Overnight Hotel (B, L, D)

Day 5,Gondar – Lalibela

In the morning fly from Gondar - Lalibela. Tour the Remarkable rock-hewn churches, a UNESCO World Heritage site. And you can see its surprise. Between the 11th and 12th centuries, a series of 11 fabulous churches were hewn from the rocks, created, remarkably, from single pieces of stone beneath the earth, Still today, you will be amazed how they managed such a feat, it’s one of the great wonders of the world. Day 6,Lalibela

For this day we have two choices: Visit the exquisite church of Yemrehane Kristos -OR- Take a morning hike with mules to Mount Asheton, with its 13th century rock-hewn monastery and great views of the town. Following either option above continue with tour of Lalibela’s churches in the afternoon. Overnight Hotel (B, L, D)

Day 7 ,Lalibela – Axum

In the morning fly from Lalibela to Axum on Ethiopian Airlines. The town is dominated by more than 100 towering stele, massive carved granite columns, carried into position by elephants and erected as tomb markers to signal the importance and power of each of the former kings. Tour the ancient stele fields, standing for 2000 years. Visit the new and impressive Archeological Museum. Visit other tombs and archeological sites as time permits. Overnight Hotel (B, L, D)

Day 8,Fly to Dire Dawa via Addis Ababa

on this day you will fly back to Addis and connect your flight to Driadawa, Tour Dire Dawa’s colorful outdoor market. Overnight Hotel (B, L, D)

Day 9,Harar

Drive to Harar, Harar is the city which is the eastern part of Ethiopia known for being origin for the Ethiopian first grade coffee and old historical tourist attraction site for its unique old round wall built at early of 15th century by the governor of Harar. Harar is recognized as the fourth most holy Muslim city in the world, hosting pilgrims after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. The 16th century wall was built by Adere people to protect themselves from invaders. Harar is also home to Arthur Rimbuad, renowned French poet who worked and lived in Harar as a "gun-runner" during the 19th century. Visit the National and Harari museums; the house of Ras Mekonnen (father of Haile Selassie); and a traditional Harari home. In the night you will have chance to see Hayna man show. Day 10 ,Harar - Awash National Park

Drive to Awash National Park and site seeing along the way. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 11 ,Awash National Park - Langano

Drive will take Ethiopian rift valley, stop at Lake Ziway to view the colorful birds continue drive to the brown lake Langano one of the Rift Valley lakes. Relax at the Lodge. Lake Langano is safe for swimming. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 12,Lake Langano - Arba Minch

After breakfast drive to the lake Awassa to visit the colorful water birds and Fish market, where people are buying fresh fish from Fisher men; And then drive directly to the lake side town of Arba Minch on the way visit Dorze Village, The Dorze are known for their tall, beehive-shaped bamboo houses. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 13 ,Arba Minch - Jinka, Omo Valley

In morning visit Nechisar National park by the side of Chamo Lake there you will have boat trip, Chamo Lake is known in large wetter animals like Hippos and Crocodile and reach in Aquatic birds. At the spot called “Azo Gebeya” or Crocodile Market, huge concentration of crocodile’s herds of hippo as well as many species of birds can be observed. Then you will drive to Jinka visiting Konso on the way; they live in a land of low terraced hills. They are reputed to be one of hard working groups in the country. Their elaborately terraced hillside grows some of the county’s best coffee. They have an articulate tradition and erect peculiar totems on the grave of their deceased. Visit the Konso people and their museum. Continue driving and stop for a Short visit to the Tsemay, a culture of mixed subsistence farmers who Practice flood cultivation villages. After another three hours arrive to Jinka. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 14 ,Mago National Park Excursion

This morning drive to a Mursi tribal village. The tribe is renowned for the now-uncommon custom of their women, upon reaching maturity, having their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted. Return back to Jinka for lunch. In the afternoon you will visit one of omo valley tribe called the Ari village. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 15, Jinka - Turmi

Drive to Dimeka to visit the colorful Hamer tribe. They are well known for their remarkable hairstyles made of ochre, water, and binding resin, resulting in copper-colored locks. This is a sign of wealth for this tribe. The Hamers are also considered the masters of body decoration. Continue to the town of Turmi. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 16 ,Omorate Excursion (Hammer, Karo, Dasnich)

Turmi is our new base as we explore the region and meet the different tribes who share this valley but live a life uniquely their own. Drive to the Murulle area. Muri lies on the banks of the Omo River, and is a popular base for exploring this area. The two main tribes who live here are the Karo and the Hamer, both of whom practice scarification and have elaborate hairstyles. The Karo are experts in body painting, using clays and locally available vegetable pigments to trace fantastic patterns on their faces, chests, arms and legs. These designs have no special symbolic significance but instead are created for fun and aesthetic effect, as each artist tries to outdo another. Karo men also sculpt and shave their hair into extravagant shapes, with special ochre "caps" of hair usually containing several ostrich feathers. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 17 ,Turmi - Konso

On the return drive to Konso visit the Arbore tribe who are known for herding cattle and depend on plant cultivation for their basic food. Konso recently registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site. A highland people, the Konso are known for the ancient and intricate terraces that encircle their well-planned villages. Overnight Lodge (B, L, D)

Day 18 ,Konso - Hawassa

Drive to one of the most beautiful rift valley lakeside city. Relax and recover from your journey at one of Hawassa's fine resorts. Overnight Resort (B, L, D)

Day 19 ,Hawassa - Bale Mountains

- Morning, Visit the daily fish market in Awassa and depart to Bale Mountains With its majestic boundaries, the Bale mountains are the only natural conservation site left in Africa preserving its unique flora and fauna with relatively undisturbed example of five vegetation zones and the longest afro alpine moor land in Africa. Arriving in the afternoon. Take a leisurely afternoon hike spotting some of the park's endemic mammals and birds. Overnight Hotel (B, L, D)

Day 20 , Bale - Addis Ababa

At the last day we have two options Option 1, fly back to Addis Option 2, Drive back to Addis Morning, Enjoy; your breakfast at your Hotel and Have a relaxing morning; Drive back to Addis Ababa via the Arsi/Bale region, home to many of Ethiopia’s famous distance runners or Fly back to Addis Ababa, take a rest and freshen up and shopping. In the Evening you will have a farewell Dinner program at one of the best traditional Restaurant in Addis Ababa; you will also experience an amazing traditional dancing then transfer out to Bole International Airport for your departure to home (B, L, D) End of Tour This itinerary is flexible and will likely change in order to coordinate visits with market days in the south, which is a great opportunity to mingle with the people, many of whom travel long distances on foot to attend.
